Yes. Steamed seafoodm
Yes they do, but the later you go towards 8pm no problem getting a table. Very good food. Highly recommend the grouper
Not sure of holiday schedule, call them
Give then a call. Very nice people.
Hmmm. It's probably similar to other restaurants. Just avoid calling during a busy time, like lunch or dinner
They offer catering for all types of events.
5.00 crab clusters.
Yes, they do. I have 4 kids and when they sat us they gave the kids a sheet to color with the kids menu on it. The kids menu is not part of the regular menu. You would only know about it if you had kids. I have four.
No
Food is always delicious , from the sea food to the ribeye steaks . Whole flounder, Yum, had some fried green tomatoes with a sauce dripped over it for an appetizer, OMG. Love Wednesday night specials. Oysters, snow crab legs , clams , shrimp. Mmmmm . They even make great mixed drinks . Oh and the chef potatoes, yes yes yes, and i could eat a X- large bowel of the slaw. ( shewww - weeee ! ) some good eaten over there .
Fried grouper was overdone and only 1 piece. We had 13 people in our party and instead of offering to split the group because the restaurant was filling up, we were told to wait or come back in 1.5 hrs. So, we waited, and waited another 1/2 hr! Ended up splitting up the group anyway. Once inside, the service was great, very attentive. Pretty sure crab legs are not worth a 2.5 hr wait.
Pretty tasty. The salad was green, not just iceberg. The appetizers were great. It was a little dark in the restaurant, the bathrooms have a sink outside the rooms for everyone and the beers were served in the can (no glasses). Still enjoyed it over all. Waitstaff were very nice.
Food was good but rush us out as soon as we was finish eating. Had to down my beer. We was pressure to leave.
It was really good and the food and service were really good too...friendly
We got in pretty quick but when we sat down And it took about 15 mins Before a waitress finally took our drink order. She was very rude and would barely speak to us and we had to ask other waitresses for help. Finally we finished eating and she did a personality change and was super nice to us and we thought it was because she wanted A good tip. Well turns out they included a $20 tip on our bill so the reason she wasn’t very helpful and rude to us was because she didn’t even have to work for her tip. So I’m very disappointed in the way me and my family were treated at the restaurant.
The food was great with a good waiting staff. The lady that greeted everyone at the front door had a lack of personality. She had not an ounce of niceness in her, it seemed. It appeared they she was calling the shots so she may have been one of or the actual owner of e place.
I visited this restaurant on our last beach trip with my husband. We came in around 8:45 and they were very busy. Because it was only the two of us we were seated quickly! How lucky for us! It was a long wait to get our food but we did not mind. They were busy so we enjoyed the atmosphere and our conversation. The food was very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my visit. We tried to eat there again on Friday night after the Rivermist concert in the park but we were turned away. We got there before 9:00 and they close at 9:30. That was disappointing. Just go early.
Great food cook just right price is not to pricey love it..
Great food, outstanding service, award winning bartender!!
Love the mussels! Order them every time we go. With an unassuming outside, simple and quaint dining room and bar, the food is far better than you would expect by appearances. It's our favorite spot on the island and definitely recommend trying it out
Amazing staff and great specials, large menu including the drink menu and service time was fast considering how busy they were definitely a must have on the island!
Turtle Island was a great experience! We arrived 15 minutes before opening to find a large crowd waiting at the door. Lucky we called ahead to reserve a spot. Our party of 7 was sat a few minutes after doors opened. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Food takes a while to come out from the kitchen but the restaurant was operating at capacity, it should be expected. Prices are fair and average for a seafood restaurant. Food was delicious, not a single complaint from the group. Turtle Island will definitely be on my list for places to eat at Oak Island.
Extremely pleased. My husband got the shrimp and grits and I got the oyster po boy. Amazing food and very friendly staff. Will be going back!
Great food, excellent service. On the higher end of the price range for what we've seen, but arguably the best restaurant on the island. Views and setting can't be beat
This place is a must try. Service is great and the staff are the best. Their baby flounder is the best.
We had a great experience here. Unfortunately we missed Wednesday steamer night but we treated ourselves to crab dip and the stuffed flounder. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and service was very quick. Highly recommend!
We just love the “Turtle” as we call it. The atmosphere is unique and can’t be replicated. Our bar tender Willie is an icon on the island and he’s the best! The “baby flounder” is the best you will ever taste. And by the way nothing about it is baby, it’s huge. All of the food is top notch and scratch made. Simply the best place for eats and drinks on Oak Island!
I've eaten here previously and had a lovely experience, however my most recent visit was over before it even began. The hostess was unfortunately under the weather, and while my heart goes out to her, she proceeded to open mouth cough all over the menus, our table, and regrettably my friends and I. The food and service is generally quite good, but after witnessing the hostess' struggle for life I abruptly decided to leave.
Wednesday night Steam night specials. Very good steamed oysters and crab claws. Unlike some places that run specials, these are available thru carryout also.
Food was pretty good, wait staff friendly enough, hostess was rude as always. Shes never very accommodating or friendly. Always feel rushed.
I have yet to dine inside. I will say that during the covid19 pandemic they are offering a fantastic lunch special. $6.50 for a GREAT lunch! Is work nearby and today we sat down to 2 pieces of fried chicken, two great sides, (I had fries and a salad this week, but the coleslaw is great!) as well as a drink and a dessert! For 6.50 plus tax! I know this wont last forever, so Tuesday I'll be having the crab stuffed flounder! Post covid, I will be sure to frequent this great place!
Excellent service, and great food in a warm welcoming atmosphere.
Always great seafood. In my opinion, best on the island.
My wife had the chicken gumbo and I had shrimp and grits and they were so salty we could hardly finish it. We'll think twice before going there again.
Ma and Pa style restaurant, but good food and good service. Highly recommend.
I had blackened tuna with mussels as an appetizer. The food was amazing and if I lived in the area I would be eating it weekly. I'll be back.
The Coconut Shrimp Appetizer was really good. Vicki too great care of us. We'll be back.
Our food all came out like warm. It wasn't what I had hope. We did have a large party so I would like to try it again just my husband and I on maybe a Tuesday or Wednesday when it is less crowded.
